Going to such a massive and diverse school, there are countless different outfits we see people wearing walking down the halls. From dad shoes to camo clothes to golden jewelry, we see everything. Safe to say… LHHS has some serious drip.
Today, the Fang is going to break down the top fashion trends at LHHS.
- Camo- Known for its use in hunting and military, camo pants, hoodies, and T-shirts have become well known in everyday fashion. Camo, short for camouflage, is a pattern characterized by random patches of colors, typically green and brown. Personally, I have never seen someone at Lake Highlands wear camo.
2. Dad shoes- Chunky and clunky is the name of the game. New Balances, aka “Dad shoes,” have made their comeback in this year’s trends. With typically neutral colors and fun designs, dad shoes can be worn with just about any outfit.
3. Oversized clothes- Everyone loves Adam Sandler and Billie Eilish, and their notoriously oversized fashion is very in right now. Oversized clothing consists of Baggy anything: basketball shorts, jorts, T-shirts, hoodies, you name it! If the clothes don’t fit, you’ve got yourself a solid oversized fit.
4. Jewelry- Less of a trend and more of a permanent fashion staple, jewelry is essential to any good outfit. If it’s shiny and used to adorn yourself, it’s jewelry. Right now, you will notice an increase in golden hoops, bracelets, and necklaces being worn around the halls.
5. Comfy Casual Shoes- If we have to come to school, we might as well be as comfortable as possible. Birkenstocks and Uggs have swept the school by storm. Birkenstocks can be seen around every corner both in their sandal and clog variants, and Uggs most common styles are the slippers and ultra minis. There is a good chance that if the shoe is tan on the outside and soft on the inside, LHHS has it.
6. Athleisure- Sporty, cute, comfortable, yet incredibly stylish. Athleisure is the style that never goes away. From leggings to running shorts to anything dri-fit, athleisure, as suggested by the name, is an emerging fashion industry that transforms the versatile and comfortable aspects of athletic wear into casual, everyday wear.
