Senior Ayden Webb received 17 separate offers from several different colleges, but OSU was the college that caught his eye.
Each one of them offered him full ride scholarships to play college football such as SMU, TCU and Texas Tech.
“[OSU] watched my film from junior year and came up to me at the school to interview me,” says Webb. After the interview concluded, they guaranteed his full ride scholarship.
With the full ride scholarship, this grants Webb an early star spot for the team, giving him an advantage of being chosen over up and coming college football applicants.
Webb, who has played football since he was 3 years old, is a starting safety for the varsity football team, which has a district record of 3-0.
“It’s been great, better than last [year],” he said of the season.
Head football coach Cory Campbell said Webb has great talent, and with his 6’3” stature, great range.
“Webb has probably got some of the best ball skills I’ve ever coached in a player,” Campbell said. ”That’s why he’s been so sought after at the division one level.”
