Alluring and exotic, this type of drink is the best in the world, and you’ve probably heard of it. That’s right, I’m talking about boba. I LOVE boba. If calories and money were a thing of the past, you would only find me at every boba café in the country.
I went to a local boba place to rank some of the most popular boba flavors ever. Let’s find out which one is the best!
- Strawberry
The pale pink color led me to believe it would taste like sweet strawberry milk tea, but I’m gravely disappointed. It tasted like medicine and dried strawberries had a baby. The only salvation is boba pearls (which is in every drink).
- Matcha
I knew what to expect because I’ve had raw matcha before, but consuming it still saddens me. It tastes and looks like sweetened grass. People drink this flavor because they know matcha has incredible benefits like improving brain performance and gut health. If you tell me you like matcha for the taste, I don’t believe you.
- Classic Brown Sugar
Brown Sugar falls in third because it tastes great but is incredibly boring. The brown sugar fused with creamy milk brings out a lovely flavor, but it’s too simple for my taste. Compared to the top two refreshments on this list, this isn’t anything special.
- Thai tea
Thai tea is made from Ceylon black tea, sugar, and milk, but western versions fuse the recipe with other spices. This is easily one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The marmalade-like color and complex flavor takes the art of boba to another level. It is certainly remarkable “chai” for sure!
- Taro
The vibrant lilac color and grandiose flavor is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It’s a perfect consistency of milk and Taro flavor which makes this drink worth its price. It brings nothing but pure bliss to the tongue!
