The boys soccer team had an incredible season, making the playoffs for the eleventh year in a row.
After a great season, they fell short in the second round to Plano West (2-1) following beating South Grand Prairie in the first round (3-1).
Tim Guinee is in his second season as head coach and has led the team to playoff appearances in both seasons. He understood the challenge that Plano West represented.
“Plano West is a big, strong and fast team. They have good team skills. They have the ability to score. Their defense can keep opponents out of their goal,” Guinee said.
The Wildcats were led by four outstanding senior captains in Aidan Delgado, Jeremy Towb, Benjamin Blakemon, and Jonah Stus.
Part of the success that the Wildcats had was not only on the field, but off of it as well where they had an incredible bond.
“I will miss playing the sport that I’ve loved to play all my life, but most of all I will miss doing it all with my friends and teammates that I’ve played with side by side for the past 9 years,” Delgado stated.
Delgado was not the only one to feel the bond. Towb did as well.
“I will miss being with all of my buddies the most at soccer,” Towb added.
