The boys baseball team has finished up their season with an 11-game winning streak and residing in second place in the district.
Mason Parsons (12), one of the senior captains, said the team hasn’t won a playoff game in the past 20 years.
”The team hadn’t made it to district in 10 years, or even made it into the playoffs in over 20 years,” says Parsons.
Head coach Mark Parker said the team had immense ability.
“This is my most talented group ever. I could not be more proud of their effort and work,” Parker said.
The team worked well as a group.
“Working together to achieve the same goal and communicating helps gameplay a ton,” says Parsons.
Parker said the team can improve.
“Hold them accountable to meet expectations and goals. Be consistent, honest, and communicate with clarity.”
During their spring season, Parker encouraged the players before and after the game.
“They have prepared incredibly well and should be proud and confident. Also, results do not define you,” he said.
